Cargo vessel disabled in Kiel Canal

Enroute Kaliningrad-Rotterdam the "Markborg" suffered engine
damage during its transit of the Kiel Canal on Nov 28, 2013.

Dense clouds of smoke emerged from the smoke stack which was
remarked by the police in Rendsburg who raised alar.
The ship was allowed to continue its westbound passage but was
ordered to stop in the canal port of Brunsbüttel for repairs
where it moored at 3.30 p.m. The ship An investigation was
launched against the captain for causing environmental damage.
